Why revision is more complex

Scarring changes normal tissue planes and recurrence may be multifocal. Prior operative reports, histology and high-quality imaging are particularly important.

Long-term follow-up

The method and duration of follow-up are individual. Recommended surveillance should not be stopped solely because the early period is uneventful.
