Diagnosis shapes the plan
Lesions differ in location and biological behaviour. Examination, imaging and pathology information are considered together; required tests vary by patient.
Function is part of the outcome
Postoperative function depends on baseline status, procedure extent, revision status and other factors. Monitoring may assist the surgeon but does not replace anatomical expertise and technique.
